Paycom is hiring an experienced Oral Surgery Dental Assistant in High Point, NC. The role focuses on surgical assistance including extractions, implants, and biopsies, with IV and nitrous oxide sedation under the supervision of an oral surgeon.

Responsibilities include chairside support, instrument preparation, radiography, patient education, and meticulous record-keeping while adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards. A valid NC radiology certification and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in oral surgery and sedation procedures.
• CPR/BLS certification required; sedation monitoring certification a plus.
• Current radiology certification per NC regulations.

Responsabilités

• Assist the oral surgeon with surgical procedures, including extractions, dental implants, and biopsies.
• Provide chairside assistance during IV sedation and nitrous oxide cases, monitoring patient vitals and comfort in accordance with safety protocols.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and operatory setup with strict adherence to infection control and sterilization standards.
• Take and process digital dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions and sedation protocols.
• Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, recognizing and responding appropriately to patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed surgical and patient records.
• Collaborate closely with the front office and surgical teams for seamless patient care and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all clinical safety standards.
