Job summary

Baystate Health is hiring an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for Chestnut Outpatient Surgical Services at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role supports adult and pediatric perioperative patients across multiple specialties with a collaborative team of RNs, surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and residents.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license (or eligibility for licensure reciprocity).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience, preferably in surgical services.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and pediatric surgical patients in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and residents.
• Act as patient advocate and support families throughout the surgical journey.
