Job summary

Midwest-Eye-Consultants in Akron, OH is seeking an Experienced Optician for a part-time position. You will guide patients through eyewear selection, educate on lens options, and help translate doctor recommendations into stylish, functional eyewear.

Excellent communication and friendly service are essential to build lasting patient relationships. You will perform insurance eligibility checks, calculate co-pays, enter orders, and coordinate with the optical lab.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better.
• Strong administrative skills are required.
• Experience or familiarity with eyewear selection and lens options is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting spectacles, educating on lens options and frame styling.
• Calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility and enter orders for the optical lab.
• Monitor order status and notify patients for dispensing and follow-up.
• Maintain inventory and displays of optical merchandise.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and communicate delays to other departments.
