Experienced Offset Printing Press Operator

Position Status: Full Time, Hourly
Position Location: Onsite
Salary: $25 - $34 Depending on Experience

About The Position

This position allows you to work with cutting edge equipment and make a real impact in the manufacturing industry. You'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, enhance your skills, and contribute to a team dedicated to excellence in printing.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret job orders to set up the press for various printed products.
  • Perform make-ready, operations, and maintenance of multi-unit 40" Komori sheetfed offset presses.
  • Maintain ink and water balance and ensure color consistency throughout the print runs.
  • Monitor print quality and make necessary adjustments to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with offset printing presses as they occur.
  • Lead and direct the press feeder, ensuring efficient workflow and quality output.
  • Participate in client press okays to ensure satisfaction with the final product.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Position Requirements
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Related Experience
  • Required experience operating multi-unit 40" offset sheetfed presses.
  • Experience with Komori presses and UV printing is a plus.
Required Competencies
  • Good eye for color and attention to detail.
  • Ability to direct and lead a team, specifically the press feeder.
  • Strong understanding of pre-press operations and familiarity with press workflow software.
  • Visual inspection of machines is necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent reaching/stretching, bending, twisting, pulling/pushing, and stooping as required to service the machine.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
