Job summary

The City of Arvada is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join the City Attorney’s Office and provide advanced legal and litigation support on a variety of complex municipal legal matters. This role works closely with attorneys and City staff on cases involving civil rights, governmental immunity, contracts, employment, property, land use, construction, and other litigation matters.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of paralegal work experience.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and related litigation documents.
• Strong understanding of civil rights, contracts, and municipal law.
• Ability to manage calendars, filings, and case supervision across multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and files legal pleadings and motions with court deadlines.
• Maintains litigation files, calendars, and notices.
• Communicates with courts, opposing counsel, and City staff to coordinate hearings and deposits.
