Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent tractor-trailer experience or completion of CDL training.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers aims to create the country's safest, most efficient, and service-oriented fleet. As a Professional Driver, you will start your career working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching on the C&S Way, including company and regulatory requirements. After completing our new hire training, you will be responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction through product and service deliveries, performing all duties safely and timely, in compliance with DOT regulations.

• Paid weekly on Wednesdays

Responsibilities include:

• Operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck) using skills developed through experience and training, adhering to regulations to transport and deliver products safely.
• Loading and unloading (ambient or temperature-sensitive) products at an average of 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspecting, documenting, and ensuring equipment is operational per regulatory and company standards.
• Performing all other assigned duties.

Work Environment:

• Store: Freezer (-20F to 0F)
• Warehouse: Perishable (28F to 60F)
• Warehouse: Grocery (50F to 90F)

Skills and Qualifications:

• DOT Certified, Class A CDL
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Department of Transportation Physical Exam
• Enjoy working with people and focus on quality and customer service
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year recent tractor-trailer experience or completion of a company-approved CDL training program
