Job summary

Ketjen Corporation, a provider of advanced catalyst solutions, seeks a Maintenance Millwright at our Bayport Facility in Pasadena, TX. You will perform safe maintenance and repair of mechanical rotating equipment, install mechanical seals, and interpret mechanical designs to keep essential plant systems running.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as a Journeyman Millwright, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in close tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience in safe in-plant maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in close tolerances; familiar with dial indicators, dial calipers, micrometers and other exact measuring equipment.
• Good written and electronic communication skills.
• 5+ years Journeyman Millwright experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of mechanical rotating equipment.
• Proper handling and installation of mechanical seals.
• Interpretation of mechanical designs and maintenance manuals.
• Use of a wide variety of hand, portable, and stationary power tools.
• Demonstrate root cause analysis approach to failures and generate reports accordingly.
• Rebuilding, installing, and maintaining machinery such as pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, fans, rotary dryers, filter press, compressors, belts, extruders, mills.
• Maintaining precision records of repairs and parts.
• Inspection of machinery, parts to determine replacement or repair.
