Job summary

Evolve Psychiatry in Long Island, NY is seeking a full-time, in-house Medical Billing Specialist to join our established Billing Department. You will work on corrected claims and appeals, verify patient insurance, and ensure accurate billing to maximize payments.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in medical billing, CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS knowledge, and proficiency with Therapy Notes or ECW EMR systems. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 year of experience in medical billing, including expertise in medical coding, claims submission, denials, and appeals processes
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in medical billing software and MS Office applications
• Experience in Credentialing is a HUGE PLUS
• Experience with EMR systems Therapy Notes and ECW is a plus.
• Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Full job description Evolve Psychiatry is a mental health outpatient practice on Long Island, NY with locations in Massapequa, Syosset, Garden City, and Albany. We provide excellent care to a variety of ages and populations and believe in quality mental healthcare as a movement. We offer services including Medication Management, Talk Therapy, and Alternative Treatment options such as T.M.S and Spravato. We are a growing practice looking for a full-time, in house experienced Biller to add to our established Billing Department.

Responsibilities:

• Work on corrected claims and appeals: Prepare and submit corrected claims and appeals to insurance companies as required in a timely manner to ensure payment.
• Verify patient insurance information and eligibility
• Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate billing
