Job summary

ECU Health Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support, assist with clerical duties, and maintain patient care documentation in medical records. This full-time, day-shift role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with no weekends or holidays.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and extensive MA experience; BLS certification is required. Additional MA/CNA training is preferred, and substitution options may apply as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of Medical Assistant or related experience may substitute for HS diploma.
• 1–2 years of formal MA or nurse aide training preferred.
• Substitution: six months current full-time MA/CMA/CNA experience may substitute for formal MA or nursing aide training.
• American Heart Association BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical support services and assist with secretarial/clerical duties.
• Maintain patient care documentation in medical records.
