Job summary

ECU Health Physicians in Greenville, NC, is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinic operations. You will take vital signs, perform patient intake questionnaires, enter data, and manage medical records in both hard copy and electronic form, aiding clinicians throughout patient care.

The role requires BLS, a high school diploma or higher, and at least one of CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT) or CCMA (NHA) credentials with 2 years of experience or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent or higher is required.
• One of CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT) or CCMA (NHA) with 2 years of experience or formal in-person training is required.
• Preferred one or more years of experience in a clinical/medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinic operations and assist providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management.
• Assist with patient care services as directed by clinicians.
• Maintain all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records.
• Demonstrate clinical duties such as vitals and health history as directed by clinicians.
