Job summary

Five Star Sheets is seeking a dedicated forklift operator to support our production floor. You will operate a forklift to review orders, verify accuracy, and safely transport materials, including large, bulky, and fragile corrugated stock. Experience with roll clamps and navigating tight spaces is a plus.

The role requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and strict adherence to safety procedures to meet production deadlines across our Midwest facilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Ability to review order forms, verify accuracy, and scan/transport materials while operating a forklift.
• Move large, bulky, and fragile unpalletized corrugated materials.
• Safely drive a forklift backwards with large loads in tight spaces.
• Experience using forklift roll clamps to move large paper rolls safely.
• Knowledge of warehouse layout, storage systems and material flow.
• Basic inventory handling and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Adherence to safety procedures and standard operating instructions.

Responsibilities

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in operating forklifts safely and efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to review order forms, verify order accuracy, and scan and transport correct materials while actively operating a forklift in a production environment.
• Ability to handle large, bulky, and fragile unpalletized corrugated materials
• Able to safely drive a forklift backwards with large unpalletized loads in tight spaces for most of the shift
• Experience using a forklift with roll clamps (claws) to move large paper rolls safely is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse layout, storage systems, and material flow
• Basic inventory handling and documentation skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating instructions

Knowledge Requirements

• Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations
• Knowledge of load limits, stacking procedures, and material handling best practices
• Familiarity with manufacturing production flow and finished goods handling
