Job summary

West Alton Marina, LLC in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced Marine Technician to join our Mercury, MerCruiser, and Volvo Penta authorized service center. You will diagnose and repair vessels from PWCs to cabin cruisers, perform engine decommissioning/commissioning, and conduct preventative maintenance and diagnostics in tight engine compartments while delivering top-tier customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as marine technician is required/strongly preferred.
• Completion of a marine service technician training program is preferred.
• ABYC, MerCruiser, Mercury, and VolvoPenta certifications are preferred.
• Driver's License and Boater's License are required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Use your expertise to diagnose and correct vessel issues.
• Fall Haul & Spring Launch; including shrink-wrap, bottom washing, and boat movement.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as tune-ups, oil changes, and drive service.
• Conduct in-depth vessel inspections of all systems, including domestics, engine, and electrical.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business through professionalism and attention to detail.
• Convey repair information to customers and team members clearly (written and verbal).
• Maintain own stock of general tools (wrenches, sockets, impact drivers, etc.).
• Specialty, manufacturer tools and diagnostic equipment provided by Service Department.

5+ years marine technician experience

Driver's license & Boater's license

Education
