Qualifications

• Previous manual machining experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, tapping, and milling operations.
• Properly use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual engine lathes and milling machines
• Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications
• Perform turning, facing, boring, threading, drilling, tapping, and milling operations
• Properly use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Determine proper speeds, feeds, tooling, and machining methods
• Hold close tolerances and inspect completed work
• Work from existing or damaged parts when drawings are not available
• Troubleshoot machining and setup problems
• Work independently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety
• Experience in industrial repair machining, one-off parts, shafts, bushings, bearing fits, and similar work is strongly preferred
