Interflex Merrill is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician to service and repair a variety of machinery at our Merrill, Wisconsin facility. This full-time evening shift role requires hands-on troubleshooting, precise problem analysis, and the ability to work both independently and within a small team.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience repairing and servicing a variety of machinery.
• Proven self-direction, must be able to work individually or in a team to complete equipment repairs.
• An effective listener.
• Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Demonstrates initiative.
• Effective in stressful situations and a high paced environment.
• Must follow all IFG Safety policies and procedures.
• Must understand and follow the IFG Work Order Procedure.
• Must have understanding and be able to work in Microsoft Word and Excel systems.

Responsibilities

• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to machinery to locate cause of trouble.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using appropriate tools.
• Repairs and replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Starts devices after repair to ensure that the machine is operating correctly.
• Completes preventive maintenance on all machines according to the PM Schedule.
• Uses all of their resources to find the parts needed for repairs and passes this information on to the purchasing person
