Job summary

Bell Ford Inc. is seeking an Experienced Main Line Automotive Technician to join our high-volume Ford service department. You will diagnose and repair Ford vehicles, using factory tools and service information to ensure accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of main line or advanced automotive technician experience.
  • Ford dealership experience preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair Ford vehicles, including engine, transmission, drivability, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Utilize factory scan tools and service information to identify vehicle concerns.
  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with Ford policies and procedures.
  • Perform customer-pay repairs with focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Stay current with Ford technology and vehicle systems, including hybrid and EV platforms.
  • Communicate with Service Advisors regarding diagnostics, repairs, and timelines.
  • Provide repair explanations that support customer trust and approvals.
  • Work collaboratively with technicians, shop foremen, and management.
  • Maintain flagged hours and productivity in a high-volume shop.
  • Follow dealership workflow to meet repair deadlines.
  • Conduct road tests and final inspections as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA and dealership standards.
  • Uphold professionalism, attendance, and teamwork.

Bell Ford is hiring an Experienced Main Line Automotive Technician to join our high-volume, well-established Ford service department. We’re looking for a skilled, motivated technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to maximize earning potential in a fast‑paced environment with consistent workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair Ford vehicles, including engine, transmission, drivability, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Utilize factory scan tools and service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns
  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with Ford policies and procedures
  • Perform customer‑pay repairs efficiently with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
  • Stay current with Ford technology and vehicle systems, including hybrid and EV platforms (if applicable)
  • Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding diagnostics, recommended repairs, and timelines
  • Provide repair explanations that support customer trust and repair approval
  • Work collaboratively with fellow technicians, shop foremen, and management
  • Maintain strong flagged hours and productivity in a high-volume shop environment
  • Properly manage time and prioritize multiple repair orders
  • Follow dealership workflow processes to meet repair deadlines
  • Conduct road tests and final inspections as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and dealership standards
  • Uphold dealership standards for professionalism, attendance, and teamwork
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of main line or advanced automotive technician experience
  • Prior Ford dealership experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical skills
  • ASE certifications are a plus
  • Must provide own tools
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume shop environment
