This position is for our OH plant that opens July 2025. This will be an opportunity to be part of the initial team to set up our 2nd factory in the US and build Viega's brand in the community. It provides an innovative work environment in one of the most sustainable factories in OH.Comprehensive training will be provided and required in McPherson, KS when you start for 4-6 months with accommodation cost covered.Local housing and transportation will be provided and covered by company during the training period. Details associated with the relocation package, local housing, and transportation, and/or short-term international travel requirements will be defined in the offer letter based on the role if an offer is extended.Valid DL is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for prepping machines for shift start up and/or product change; operating auxiliary equipment in order to produce various types and sizes of manufactured products while ensuring quality and production goals are met; performing troubleshooting on equipment as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Production

1. Proficient in all operator 1 & 2 job description requirements
2. Monitors and performs the operations of the processing equipment for production with minimal supervision
3. Ability to assist higher-level operators.
4. Uses measuring equipment to ensure all quality specifications are met.
5. Assists in the training of lower level operators
6. Operate any material handling and processing equipment required for production and/or replenishment of raw materials.
7. Utilize shop floor management system to update CIP boards when necessary
8. Ability to spot malfunctions with controls on equipment and assist with repairs
9. Communicates with process and tooling technicians to help with equipment and assist with root cause analysis pertaining to the production process
10. Able to perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment

Supply Raw Material

1. Visually checks workstations to determine if supplies are getting low; pulls supplies from designated stocking areas.
2. Transports materials to and from workstations utilizing necessary material handling equipment
3. Notifies supervisor and/or material handler when supplies are at reorder levels.
4. Proficient in identifying the difference in raw material types and part numbers.
5. Able to identify materials required by reviewing bill of materials and can effectively communicate any shortages

Quality and Testing

1. Tests and inspects the produced products to ensure they meet all quality specifications.
2. Report when products are outside of the specifications to proper supervision and/or quality personnel
3. Perform non-conforming product procedures when necessary
4. Isolates and/or rework items that do not meet specifications or quality standards.
5. Ability to input accurate data into quality control system
6. Ability to identify raw materials that do not meet quality requirements

1. These duties/responsibilities the person performs which are not central to the job or the reason why the position exists or are duties shared with other employees to include, but not limited to, the following; 6S activities, workshops, meetings, cross functional training, etc.

Special Job Dimensions

1. May be required to work different shifts as needed.
2. May be required to wear assorted PPE for designated work area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Knowledge of basic reading, writing and arithmetic
2. Good manual dexterity skills, working with very small parts
3. Ability to perform repetitive functions
4. Ability to communicate effectively
5. Ability to interpret work orders, instructions, blueprints, and/or drawings

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

1. 2+ years of machine operator experience, set up/change overs, basic troubleshooting/alignment on machine, and making sure quality parts are being produced.
