Job summary

Fields Motorcars Chicago is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our luxury dealership team. You will perform repairs and maintenance on advanced vehicle systems, test drive vehicles, and communicate with service advisors to guide customers through needed services.

The role requires 5+ years of technician experience and a high level of customer service, with strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work with modern diagnostic tools in a fast-paced, luxury environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• A level qualification including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new technology and operate diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of needed additional services and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test‑drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• A level qualification, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic Computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality

• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines

Pay Range: $50 - $70 Flat Rate DOE
