Job summary

A childcare facility in New York is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team and promote early childhood education. You will create a warm and nurturing environment while utilizing various educational techniques to foster children's development. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and a passion for working with children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields.
• Five years' experience in a licensed early childhood center.
• Proof of current enrollment in an accredited education program.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.).
2. Encourage children to interact and resolve occasional conflicts.
3. Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, crafts, etc.).
4. Organize nap and lunch/snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe.
5. Track children’s progress.
6. Communicate with parents regularly.
7. Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Minimum requirements include:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, and state certification.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and five years' experience in a licensed early childhood center.
• Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor's degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Ability to lift objects of up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell.
• Ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch.
