Job summary

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for night shifts. You will provide evidence-based care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, collaborating with physicians, NICU nurses, and support staff to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Compact licensure
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications either current or to be obtained within timeframes of employment
• Current Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or to be obtained within 60 months

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum stabilization.
• Manage high-risk obstetric patients and rapidly changing clinical situations.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatology providers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in emergency obstetrical interventions and surgical deliveries.
• Support breastfeeding, patient education and family-centered care.
• Deliver compassionate care while maintaining patient safety.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

We encourage applications from RNs with at least one year of recent Labor & Delivery experience. Nurses with experience managing high-volume and high-acuity obstetric patients are especially encouraged to apply.
