Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for PRN Labor & Delivery coverage, offering 7p–7a shifts for a commitment of two shifts in a 6-week schedule. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, patient advocacy, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualified candidates will bring two years RN experience, Texas licensure, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHMC) with the ability to participate in education and unit governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two years RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• RN licensure in Texas (PSV Compact perhaps) and able to obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing residency.
• Current BLS certification (Instructor allowed) and ACLS, NRP, FHMC or equivalents within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform nursing assessments and assist with exams and treatments.
• Educate patients and maintain medical records; communicate with physicians and interprofessional team.
• Lead unit activities, serve as charge nurse or preceptor when applicable.
