Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, Texas is seeking an Infrastructure Project Controls Engineer to lead the integrated schedule from construction to operations, delivering real-time dashboards and reliable status across Fab 1 and Fab 2.

You will build automation pipelines, coordinate with Fab engineering and utilities, and provide early warnings of schedule slips to leadership. A Bachelor's in Engineering and 3–7 years of project controls are required.

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in project controls or large-scale construction scheduling.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project and data visualization tools.
  • Semiconductor experience is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the fully integrated infrastructure schedule.
  • Build and automate reporting pipelines into real-time dashboards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align dates with utility availability.

Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Infrastructure Project Controls Engineer to join the Infra Integration team. This is a high-visibility role that blends technical project scheduling with advanced data automation. The successful candidate will be the source of truth for the project's progress, responsible for managing the critical path from construction to operational readiness and building the automated reporting systems that track it. You will ensure that base build utilities are perfectly aligned with dependent Infrastructure customer’s and tool hook-up dates. Translating that complex data into real-time executive dashboards to mitigate risk for all Fabs at Taylor.


Role and Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain the fully integrated infrastructure schedule, managing the critical path from construction to operations.

  • Build and automate reporting pipelines that pull data from schedules and project trackers into real-time Power BI/Tableau dashboards.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align Fab Engineering need dates with utility availability.

  • Provide early warning alerts to leadership regarding schedule slips or interdependency conflicts.

  • Codify scheduling and reporting learnings from Fab 1 to create an enterprise standard for Fab 2.

  • Generate weekly and monthly health reports for Infra Technology leadership.


Skills and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), or Construction Management.

  • 3-7 years of experience in project controls, large-scale technical construction scheduling, or infrastructure integration.

  • Proven expertise in both scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project) AND data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).

  • Experience managing integrated schedules for large-scale industrial projects (Semiconductor experience is a significant plus).

  • (For Senior Level): Demonstrated ability to manage complex system interdependencies and critical path analysis (PE or EIT preferred).


Total Rewards

The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
