Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for our service team to support large commercial and industrial facilities across the United States. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and related equipment, with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong electrical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting across low and high voltage systems.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair large tonnage chillers - air-cooled and water-cooled - including centrifugal, screw, and scroll configurations.
  • Commission and start up chiller and controls systems, optimizing for peak efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicable.

Job Summary

We're looking for experienced HVAC Technicians with expertise in commercial systems to join our service team. Required Qualifications

  • Comfortable working independently with limited oversight.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Factory certifications or formal training on major chiller manufacturers.
  • Hands-on controls programming or commissioning background.
  • Prior experience in hospitals, industrial plants, or large-scale commercial buildings.
