CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- HVAC Service Technician for a company that handles service work and site maintenance for national accounts.
- Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer locations.
- Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
- Inspects vehicles, checking their condition and cleanliness.
- Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains equipment by inspecting for wear and notifying the customer and/or Operations Manager of findings.
- Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- Serves as a direct customer contact, representing the company professionally.
- Determines parts to order for repairs and assesses the timeliness of needs.
- Records parts, materials, labor, subs, and other cost data per assignment, returning unused resources.
- Ensures all required paperwork and reports are submitted timely.
- Keeps current on all products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
- Reads and interprets product specifications.
- Provides technical support to customers.
- Works overtime/weekends as necessary and is flexible with work hours.
- Travel requirements include some overnight travel, as needed.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
