Job summary

Allied Aire, Inc. is seeking an experienced residential HVAC service technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heating and cooling systems on service calls in the Cornelius area.

You’ll work independently, communicate clearly with homeowners, and uphold safety and quality standards. This role offers $25–$40 per hour, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a company vehicle, training, paid time off, and health insurance options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC service experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience servicing heat pumps, gas furnaces, and refrigerant systems.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Work on air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and IAQ equipment.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, and preventative service.
• Explain findings and repair options to homeowners.

What Your Days Will Look Like

You’ll be out in the community helping homeowners keep their heating and cooling systems running safely and reliably. That means:

• Diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
• Working on air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and indoor air quality equipment
• Performing maintenance, system inspections, and preventative service
• Identifying equipment issues and recommending appropriate repairs
• Explaining your findings and repair options in a way homeowners understand
• Completing service documentation and maintaining accurate job records
• Helping with occasional installation‑related work when needed
• Following manufacturer guidelines and safety standards

What You Bring to the Team

You don't need someone looking over your shoulder on every call. You have the technical foundation to work independently, think through problems, and communicate professionally with customers.

Required qualifications:

• At least 2 years of residential HVAC service experience
• EPA Certification

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, rotating on‑call, overtime available
