Job summary

KALESTA HEALTHCARE GROUP is seeking an experienced cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents at our Antioch facility. You will follow dietician-approved menus, ensure meals meet regulatory standards, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain quality and efficiency.

This role requires at least one year of hospital or healthcare food service experience, familiarity with ServSafe guidelines, and strong English communication skills. Part-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• License: ServSafe Certification, preferred.
• Work Experience: At least one year cooking in a commercial kitchen or healthcare dietary department preferred.
• Language Skills: Proficient English reading/writing.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic for weights, measures and portions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepares foods according to menu cycles and recipes by Dietitian.
• Cook meals in institutional quantities at proper temperatures and times.
• Supervise kitchen staff and assistants.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Assist with inventory and ordering of stock/supplies.
• Ensure compliance with county/state/federal regulations and dietary needs.
