LHH is partnering with a respected healthcare services organization to identify a detail-oriented Healthcare Billing Specialist. This role will manage resident accounts, oversee third-party and private pay billing, and maintain accurate financial records in a post-acute care setting.

The ideal candidate will have two years of healthcare billing experience, knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of healthcare billing experience in post-acute care environments.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private pay processes.
• Experience managing AR, collections and aging reports.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families and external payers about balances and payment plans.
• Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office.
• Onsite work and collaboration with operations and finance teams.

Responsabilités

• Meet with residents and families to review balances and explain financial responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate census and resident accounts in the billing system.
• Manage collection efforts for private-pay balances and document activity.
• Prepare and submit monthly billing to diverse funding sources (government, commercial, private-pay).
• Monitor accounts receivable for timely reimbursement and aging reports.
• Research and resolve unpaid claims and billing discrepancies.
• Participate in AR review meetings with leadership to identify opportunities and risks.
• Post payments accurately to resident accounts and maintain detailed records.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and assist with financial reporting.
• Review resident ledger balances for billing accuracy and maintenance.
• Record and process ancillary charges and other billable services.
• Support month-end close and other accounting functions.
