Qualifications

Job Description
Associate Scientist II
Summary

Responsible for providing or overseeing the analysis, administration, and oversight of varied chemistry policies, programs, and practices. Provides feedback and guidance regarding the analysis of materials, products, and/or devices utilizing intermediate to complex professional and technical knowledge of chemistry or related instrumentation, testing, and procedures.

Essential Functions
  1. GMP testing of pharmaceutical products including sample preparation and analysis
  2. Peer review of data
  3. Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation such as HPLC, Dissolution, Karl-Fischer Titration, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and other instruments as needed
  4. Data analysis and trending for stability studies
  5. Participate in internal quality events such as investigations and deviations
  6. Chromatography data processing and interpretation using software such as Empower
  7. General laboratory maintenance and upkeep, including hazardous waste disposal and restocking consumables
  8. Work on individual tasks as part of a larger team
  9. Promote and support the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; act in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry or a closely related field
  • Two (2) years of chemistry experience, including experience with complex programs or operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Required Knowledge And Skills
  • GMP experience (Required)
  • ALCOA principles (Required)
  • Empower 3 experience (Preferred)
  • Pharma experience (Required)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Good time management and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • MasterControl experience (Preferred)
  • Good understanding of statistics (Preferred)
  • Root Cause analysis experience (Preferred)
