Reliable Chevrolet Springfield in Springfield, MO is seeking a GM Certified Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair GM vehicles including Duramax diesel and EV systems. The role offers flat-rate hourly pay, tiered sign-on bonuses, extensive GM/ASE training, and a path to advanced diagnostics certifications.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of professional automotive repair experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Flat-rate compensation: Approximately$25.00-$40.00+ per flagged hour, based on experience, certifications, productivity, and qualifications.

Tiered Sign-On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates. Bonus amount is based on experience, GM certifications, ASE certifications, and overall qualifications.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of professional automotive repair experience required

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in a shop environment throughout the workday
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Operate lifts, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Work in varying shop temperatures and conditions

EV Safety Requirements

• Safely work around high-voltage electric vehicle systems
• Follow GM and OSHA safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
• Use required PPE, including high-voltage gloves, face shields, and insulated tools when applicable
• Maintain required GM EV training and safety certifications
• Follow all manufacturer and dealership EV safety protocols

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements, including background and drug testing where permitted by law
