Job Description

• Operate equipment to move finished product for shipping or storage.
• Supply Manufacturing Department with materials as needed.
• Stage product to be moved or shipped.
• Rack unused supplies and maintain an inventory of type, amount, and location of items.
• Transport and process manufacturing paper by-products.
• Empty trash hoppers and perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Perform routine daily inspections on hoist and report maintenance needs.
• May include battery service duties such as inspecting, recharging, and replacing batteries of electrical leads and battery poles, and lubricating truck's moving parts.
• May include changing LP/Propane.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous waste, lockout-tagout rules, and hearing and eye protection policies.
• Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Know the dimensions and weight capacity of the forklift truck and its load.
• Ability to determine clearance requirements for doorways, aisles, shelves, and bins to operate the forklift safely.
• Familiarity with the layout of the storage area for efficient item placement and retrieval.
• Skilled in maneuvering forklifts in confined spaces.
• Advanced knowledge and skill in handling controls for driving forklifts and clamp trucks.
• Ability to operate controls for starting, stopping, backing, and driving forklifts through narrow aisles, ramps, and into vehicles.
• Recognize whether the forklift can lift the load and if the load is balanced properly.

The salary range for this role at the specified RRD location is $18.00 - $24.00/hour. Starting pay is determined based on education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, performance, shift, location, and business needs. Compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, and other pay incentives.
