Job summary

J&D Traffic Solutions Inc. is seeking a dependable Foreman to join our team in King George, VA. You will lead traffic-control crews to ensure safe movement of traffic around work zones in accordance with safety regulations and Department of Transportation rules.

A valid VDOT intermediate work zone traffic control certification and a clean driving record are required. This full-time role involves coordinating with client crews, performing daily inspections of trucks and equipment, and completing

Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members follow safety procedures.
• Communicate daily with clients’ crews at the job site.
• Address safety concerns and report issues to management.
• Complete required daily paperwork and documentation.
• Ensure crew adherence to J&D Traffic Solutions policies.

Job description

J&D Traffic Solutions Inc. is looking for a few and dependable Foremen to join our team.

We are seeking candidates, who are already certified in VDOT intermediate work zone traffic control training certification.

As a foreman , you will work with a team, to establish safe movement of traffic around work zones, in accordance with safety regulations, and or Department of Transportation regulations, place signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices as needed.

Job requirements:

• Must be at least 18 yrs. old.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be reliable and on time.
• Good attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Should be able to lift 50 lbs. and be able to stand ,lift, and grasp for long periods of time.
• Reliable transportation
• Drug free, ( subject to pre- hire and random drug testing).
• Must have and maintain a clean driver record.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise traffic control crews
• Set up , maintain and remove traffic control devices.
• Ensure work zones are properly set up per standards.
• Conduct daily truck and equipment inspections.
• Ensure all crew members follow safety procedures.
• Have daily communication with the clients’ crews at the job site to follow up on jobs for the following day.
• Address safety concerns and report issues to management.
• Complete required daily paperwork and documentation.
• Make sure the crew follows J&D Traffic Solutions policies and procedures.

Salary:

• Starting at $23.00 per hr and up, based on experience.
• This is a full time position.
• Monday through Friday and required availability on Saturdays.
• Sundays are optional
• Occasionally we have to respond to emergency call outs. These jobs are paid at 1.5 hourly rate.

Work location:

• Crews meet at our office located in King George, VA and ride in our trucks to and from the job site. We pay for “Drive Time” at regular rate.
