Job summary

PGSUSA is seeking an Experienced Flex Security Officer in Boca Raton, FL. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, controlling access, and delivering excellent customer service to staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include patrolling, incident response, reporting, and collaboration with local authorities as needed. A Florida unarmed security license and at least 3 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have valid Florida D Security License.
• At least 3 years security experience in gatehouse, rover, or front desk.
• Ability to learn operating systems quickly.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capable of remaining calm in high-stress environments and maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence to deter incidents.
• Monitor access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
• Patrol premises and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms promptly.
• Deescalate tense situations using communication skills.
• Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Document incidents and observations using approved forms and protocols.
• Inspect premises for risks and report findings to relevant personnel.
• Comply with state regulations and maintain Florida unarmed security license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Provide exceptional customer service and greet employees and visitors.
• Patrol property on golf cart; observe and report any suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
• Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current unarmed security license in Florida.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid D Security License in the state of Florida.
• Must have at least 3yrs of security experience in Gatehouse, Rover and Front Desk.
• Must be able to quickly learn various operating systems in a short amount of time.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Various posts in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, Fl.
