PGSUSA is seeking a BILINGUAL Gate House Security Officer (SPANISH) in Kendall, FL. This full-time role requires patrolling, access control, and proactive customer service to protect personnel and property.

Candidates must have a High school diploma, Florida D Security License, and at least 3 years in gatehouse/front desk roles. Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations are essential, with compliance to background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of security experience in Gatehouse, Rover and Front Desk.
• Able to learn various operating systems quickly.
• Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional presence to deter incidents.
• Control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Provide excellent customer service and greet staff and visitors.
• Patrol the property by golf cart and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies promptly.
• Deescalate tense situations with strong communication.
• Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when needed.
• Document incidents and observations using company forms.
• Inspect premises for risks and report findings.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, including Florida unarmed license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Provide exceptional customer service and greet employees and visitors.
• Patrol property on golf cart; observe and report any suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
• Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current unarmed security license in Florida.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid D Security License in the state of Florida.
• Must have at least 3yrs of security experience in Gatehouse, Rover and Front Desk.
• Must be able to quickly learn various operating systems in a short amount of time.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
