Job summary

McKenna Volvo Cerritos is seeking an experienced Flat Rate Technician for our busy Cerritos store. The role involves performing automotive services and repairs, diagnosing and assembling parts, and following safety procedures in a high-energy dealership environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year experience in automotive service, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work in a commission-based, performance-driven setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as Automotive Service Technician (Volvo preferred).
• Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office tools (Email, Excel, Word).
• ADP Dealer Services experience is a plus.

McKenna Volvo Cerritos is looking for an experienced Flat Rate Technician for our busy Cerritos store. We are located in Cerritos Auto Square, the world's largest auto mall, we've got location, location, location working for us. We've got more business than we can handle, so we are expanding our team. Technician job duties include:

• Performs automotive services and repairs on automobiles.
• Performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles.
• Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling parts, components and engines.
• Performs all duties according to safety procedures. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

• 1or more years of previous experience in Automotive Service Technician role for Volvo
• Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-Mail, Excel and Word
• ADP Dealer Services Experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Confidence in your ability to be successful
• Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written
• A desire to work in a commission, performance-based, environment
• Great attitude with high-energy personality
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Timely follow-up
• Ability to work well in a process-driven environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
