Job summary

The Lemoine Company, LLC is seeking an Excavator Operator to safely and efficiently run excavators on a large-scale civil project. The role requires experience with earthmoving, trenching, and site prep, and familiarity with grade control systems is preferred.

You will join a skilled civil crew, perform daily pre-operation inspections, and help support excavation, material handling, grading, and utility installation in compliance with safety standards and project specs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of excavator experience on civil construction projects.
• Experience with Grade Control systems (Trimble/Topcon/Leica) preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate 490 Excavators or 350 Excavators to perform excavation, trenching, grading, and material movement.
• Adjust machine controls and settings to ensure precision and efficiency per project specs.
• Read blueprints, grade stakes, and hand signals from spotters and supervisors.
• Utilize Grade Control systems (if applicable) to enhance accuracy.
• Excavate to required depths while maintaining safety and stability.
• Load trucks, move earth, and perform fine grading for infrastructure projects.
