Job summary

Georgia Development Partners, a 100% employee-owned heavy civil and site development firm in Atlanta, seeks an experienced Estimator to lead bids from plan review through final submission. You will oversee grading, earthwork, utilities, and flat work estimates while partnering with leadership to improve profitability and win regional work.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in estimating heavy civil projects, a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background, and proficiency with AGTEK,

• 5–10 years estimating heavy civil and full-site development.
• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred; equivalent field experience considered.
• Proficient with AGTEK, HCSS HeavyBid, OST.

Responsibilities

• Lead bids: Manage complete proposals from takeoff to final package submission.
• Prepare takeoffs: Assess accurate grading, earthwork, utility, and flat work quantities.
• Models: Build detailed dirt models using AGTEK for accurate earthwork quantity calculations.
• Develop pricing: Substantiate production rates, labor needs, and equipment allocations.
• Coordinate vendors: Solicit, compare, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Value engineer: Review plans, soils reports, and project risks to identify savings.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to lead site development bids from plan review through final submission. This role manages grading, excavation, earthwork, utilities, and flat work estimates while partnering with leadership to identify risk, improve profitability, and win key regional work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Software: Strong proficiency with AGTEK, HCSS HeavyBid, OST and related takeoff/estimating tools.
• Market knowledge: Atlanta-area subcontractors, suppliers, and municipal civil codes a plus.
