Compensation:
We pay a base salary plus quarterly bonuses based on hours billed. You will also get a percentage of any matter you bring into the firm.
$120,000 - $140,000 Base plus Qtly Bonuses & Origination.

If you are, look no further! At our Trusts & Estates Law Firm, we are passionate about helping clients preserve and protect their legacy. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze sophisticated trust and estate planning matters to develop effective solutions for clients.
- Draft intricate estate and gift tax planning structures, including various corporate transactions and trusts such as ILITs, SLATS, and charitable lead annuity trusts.
- Coordinate the preparation and filing of tax forms such as Federal Form 706 and Form 709, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Provide expert advice on trust and estate planning documents, trustee responsibilities, beneficiary rights, and distribution tax implications.
- Administer individual and family trusts, overseeing investments, banking activities, real estate holdings, and ensuring tax compliance.
- Prepare trust/fiduciary accountings for Attorney-Trustees, managing financial statements, income, disbursements, and delivering accountings to beneficiaries.
- Review and approve Foundational Estate Plans before submission to clients.
- Draft comprehensive estate and gift tax planning structures, including corporate transactions like partnership freezes, Family Limited Partnerships, ILITs, SLATS, charitable lead annuity trusts, and tax-free reorganizations.
- Prepare and file Federal Form 706 for Estate and Skipping Taxes, coordinating with clients and service providers to gather documentation and file extensions if needed.
- Prepare and file Form 709 for Gift Taxes, ensuring proper tax treatment regarding exemptions and split-gifts.
- Analyze trust and estate planning documents and advise clients on trustee powers, dispositive provisions, beneficiary rights, and tax implications.
- Administer trusts with respect to investments, real estate, corporate interests, and ensure federal tax compliance.
- Produce trust/fiduciary accountings, manage incoming bank statements, record income/disbursements, and deliver accountings to beneficiaries.
Qualifications:
- Membership with The Florida Bar is required.
- Experience in Estate Planning, Asset Protection, and Trust Administration is essential.
- Ability to quickly learn new legal concepts in a dynamic field.
- Proficiency in drafting software like WealthDocs and client management tools such as Clio.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- This is an in-office role in Coral Gables; remote work is not available due to client visits.
