Job summary

CR Jackson, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate dozers, motor graders, and excavators on highway, site development, utility, and grading projects across South Carolina. The role requires attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to perform physical tasks outdoors.

The operator will read project plans, perform grading and site prep, conduct inspections, and coordinate with survey crews and project teams to deliver quality work on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Experience operating at least one of the following: dozer, motor grader, or excavator.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate one or more heavy equipment types (dozers, motor graders, excavators).
• Perform grading, excavation, ditching, slope work, and site preparation.
• Read grade stakes, site plans, and project specifications.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment issues promptly to supervision.
• Work with survey crews, foremen, utility crews, and project teams.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and maintain high productivity.
