Job summary

Navarre Corporation in Des Moines, IA is seeking experienced EMTs to join a VA-contracted team that values consistency, professionalism, and accountability on every call. This is not entry-level work; you will provide safe BLS care, assist paramedics on higher-acuity calls, maintain equipment readiness, document accurately, and represent the company professionally.

Shifts are 12 hours (8am–8pm). Compensation includes $19.47 per hour, plus a Health & Welfare wage of $4.50 per hour (up to 80 hours

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification (Illinois or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong understanding of BLS protocols and patient care fundamentals.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient BLS care and transport.
• Assist paramedics during higher-acuity calls.
• Maintain readiness of equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Represent the company with professionalism on every call.
