Job Description

Electrical Assemblies Quality Inspector (Must be a documented United States citizen)

This position is for a Quality Inspector for electrical assemblies. Inspection of cables, instrument panels, and power cabinets for use on flight simulators as well as commercial airlines.

Workplace: We are a fast-paced flight simulator company specializing in flight, cargo loading, and maintenance simulators. Our primary customer is various divisions of the US Government. We have recently diversified into the BOEING supplier world and will be doing commercial and military work for BOEING.

Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect electrical assemblies, including workmanship, continuity of wiring, correct parts, and label validation, primarily after assembly completion.
  2. Perform in-process inspections, such as checking power cabinets before wiring for correct parts, quantities, and labeling, and sign off on work progress.
  3. Review electrical drawings for completeness and errors as part of the Peer Review Process.
  4. Manage calibration schedules for inspection equipment, ensuring timely calibration.
  5. Complete inspection forms for each item inspected.
  6. Over time, manage and administer parts of the Quality Management System, including documentation, training, and auditing. Communicate effectively across departments, write reports, and present to small groups.

Electrical Quality Inspector Qualifications and Skills:

  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D quality standards is helpful.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read wiring and cable diagrams and familiarity with standard electrical components.
