Job summary
Campbell Soup Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Electrician Technician to maintain electrical and automation systems in a manufacturing setting. You will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep line efficiency and product quality high.
The role requires 5–10 years in industrial electrical maintenance, strong PLC/HMI/VFD/servo experience, and strict adherence to safety standards. Night shifts with competitive benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical systems, controls, and automation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and single-line diagrams.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, instrumentation and control devices.
- Knowledge of safety standards and electrical testing tools (Fluke, ohmmeters, megger).
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Read schematics and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS.
- Follow safety procedures including LOTO and arc flash.
- Diagnose causes and implement corrective actions for equipment issues.

Shift: Nights | 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM
Pay: $34.45 - $38.70/hour + $2.00/hour Shift Differential

As an Electrician Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the electrical and automation systems that keep our manufacturing operations running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will leverage your expertise in industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and controls systems to minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality products while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Run conduit and piping, pull wire, and complete electrical terminations to specifications.
- Diagnose and repair single-phase and three-phase power distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and automation systems.
- Calibrate, configure, and maintain instrumentation devices and transmitters.
- Utilize electrical diagnostic tools, including multimeters, ohmmeters, meggers, and other testing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns while documenting repairs and findings.
- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo controllers, and related automation systems.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- Identify aging and obsolete automation hardware and recommend replacement or upgrade solutions.
- Support continuous improvement and modernization efforts involving electrical and control systems.
- Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities through the CMMS.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies such as:
- Thermal Imaging
- Ultrasound Analysis
- Electrical Analysis
- Current Analysis
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA), breakdown analysis (BDA), and cause mapping to identify and eliminate recurring failures.
- Document failure causes and collaborate with maintenance teams to implement corrective actions.
- Follow all maintenance and plant safety procedures, including:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Arc Flash Safety
- Hot Work Permits
- Confined Space Entry Procedures
- Adhere to OSHA, GMP, food safety, and company safety standards.
- Maintain and properly utilize required PPE.
- Understand and comply with applicable codes and standards, including:
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- NFPA 70
- NFPA 70B
- NFPA 70E
- NFPA 79
- EPA and local regulatory requirements
- Support a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Attend training programs, seminars, and technical development opportunities to maintain industry knowledge and expertise.
- Support plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5-10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
