The role focuses on analyzing drawings, specs, and addenda to deliver robust electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects.

You will develop estimates across concept to detailed design, identify value-engineering opportunities, and collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with company goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Proficiency with estimating software: Accubid, ConEst, Trimble, Bluebeam.
• Deep understanding of NEC, electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Strong blueprint reading and takeoff skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical cost estimates, budgets, and takeoffs.
• Review drawings, specs, RFQs, and addendums to determine full project scope.
• Develop conceptual to detailed estimates as required.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities to improve competitiveness.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Participate in bid reviews, risk assessments, and strategy discussions.
• Prepare final proposals, bid clarifications, and supporting docs.
• Work with Project Managers to align estimates with company goals.
• Coordinate with engineering, preconstruction, field ops, and vendors for accuracy.
• Conduct site visits and pre-bid walkthroughs to understand conditions.
