Bowie Barker Westmont- Opening April 2025!

Position: Dog Bather Part Time

Must be available to work: All weekend days (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)

Pay: $17 to $18 per hour + tips (average tip of $15 per service)

Company Overview: Dogs make us happy, and we want to return their love by keeping them as happy and healthy as we can. Which is why we started Bowie Barker, a new kind of dog bath and grooming shop. We are modernizing the dog grooming experience with our elevated design and easy-app-based booking system. Our We Groom/You Groom business model makes it easy for pet parents to pop in and wash their dog, or you can schedule an appointment with one of our highly skilled and vetted dog grooming pros for a full-service bathing option. The menu includes customized services to meet every dog's needs and extra attention to what we know our furry friends want. We opened our first location in Chicago, Illinois in September 2024 and we are excited to be opening our newest location, Westmont IL, in April 2025.

Anticipated start date: April 15th 2025 (subject to change)

Responsibilities:

• Perform all bathing services from start to finish, including bathing, brushing, drying, de-matting, grinding and clipping nails, and gland expressions.
• Converse with clients to identify their needs.
• Work in a fast-paced environment bathing 7-10 pets a day while maintaining our standards of excellence.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience with dog bathing and ability to demonstrate expert skill from day one.
• Must be able to stand for long hours; you DO NOT need to lift 50lbs— our grooming baths have walk-up ramps, grooming tables have hydraulic and electric adjustable platforms.
