Job summary

Apploi is seeking a dedicated DSP for weekend support in Phillipsburg, NJ. This role involves close one-to-one supervision, safety monitoring, and following complex care protocols to assist a nonverbal 33-year-old with spina bifida who uses a wheelchair. Responsibilities include daily routines, communication support, and community participation.

Schedule: 8 hours on Saturdays. Pay: $19-$23 per hour. Driving on shift is REQUIRED.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or similar high-support role.
• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols.
• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment.
• Reliable Vehicle Required.
• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently.

Responsibilities May Include

• Provide support to a 33-year-old nonverbal individual with spina bifida who enjoys music, shopping, going out for lunch, and socializing. The individual requires assistance with daily activities and uses a wheelchair and shower chair. A caring and patient DSP who enjoys providing companionship and community support would be a great fit.
