Job Description

Hiring an experienced Diesel Tech to fill the 11am to 9pm shift. Must have a CDL Class B.

I. Job Summary

Under general supervision, mechanics/diesel technicians will perform preventive maintenance services, inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles and equipment for Leck Waste Services fleet.

II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance following written instructions and established procedures.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Use vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Estimate repair times and costs, requisition parts.
• Complete work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
• Document repairs and parts usage using fleet maintenance software.
• Assist senior mechanics and review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B with a clean driving record.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background checks.
