Job summary

Excel Truck Group in Statesville, NC is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to service Freightliner, Mack, and other brands and keep our fleet in top condition.

We offer industry-leading pay ($55k–$90k+), comprehensive benefits including 401k, paid holidays, PTO, tool/boot/glasses allowance, and extensive training. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with opportunities for advancement and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel truck technician is required or strongly preferred.
• Certifications are a plus and can increase wages.
• Completion of a diesel technician program and certification is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Ideally certified to perform State Inspections and CDL.
• Prepare shop work orders for equipment repair.
• Utilize computer systems for diagnostics and records.
• Maintain clean, safe shop and work areas.
• Mentor others and support ongoing technician training.

Excel Truck Group is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join the team in Statesville, NC.

If you have experience as a diesel truck technician, we want to hear from you. Certifications are a plus and can earn you an increase in wages. Experience with Freightliner, Mack, Sterling, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, and/or Cummins ideal but not required. Completion of a Diesel technician school and certification desired.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs scheduled maintenance
• Ideally certified to perform State Inspections and CDL.
• Prepares shop work orders on equipment repair.
• Computer experience.
• Cleans shop and surrounding work areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Promotes cooperation and teamwork.
• Willing to train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and development.

• Must have your own tools.
