Lisk Trucking Inc. in Wadesboro, NC is seeking an immediate full-time Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer Diesel Technician. The company, family-owned since 1973, fosters teamwork and safety while performing comprehensive diesel maintenance and repairs on class 8 trucks and trailers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience, with a valid license and tools. The role includes extensive diagnostic work, preventive maintenance, and field service duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED).
• Two years of vehicle maintenance experience or combination of trade school and experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains diesel class 8 Heavy Trucks and Dry Bulk Trailers.
• Read and document repair processes per company standards.
• Work in a team and assist others as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform PM procedures on tractors and trailers.
• Diagnose electrical, air, brake/ABS, and emissions systems.
• Repair and replace faulty parts in a timely manner.
• Perform valve and injector adjustments per OEM procedures.
• Maintain SCR, DOC, DPF, and DEF systems.
• Ensure compliance with Federal annual inspection and brake criteria.
• Lubricate drive line, PTO, suspension, and steering components.
• Install parts such as cross members, lights, wiring, and brakes.
• Weld, pull, straighten, rivet, and align structural parts.
• Inspect systems for damage, wear, leaks, and safety devices.
• Test air and lighting systems including ABS.
• Demonstrate attendance and safety-conscious mindset.
