Job summary

Reno Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics is looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team led by Dr. Christian Peralta. You will help deliver the Perfect Patient Experience by supporting the dentist, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and utilizing modern dental technology to enhance care.

You will perform radiographs and intra-oral photos, ensure sterilization and safety compliance, and collaborate with a compassionate team serving the Reno community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices is expected.
• Familiarity with radiography and intra-oral photography is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories following ADA guidelines and regulations.

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)
