Job summary

Advatix is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support the planning, design, and pricing of bids for large-scale dredging projects in Houston, TX. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote) and a compensation range of $110,000 to $125,000 per year.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or related field and strong estimating, analytical, and project planning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in cost estimating or construction estimating preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to review and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in developing estimates.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and detailed cost estimates for hard-bid projects.
• Develop execution plans and cost estimates for large-scale dredging projects.
• Review and summarize project plans, drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Develop overview drawings for project presentations and bid discussions.
• Present estimates during bid review sessions with senior management.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills throughout estimating process.
• Collaborate with support departments in a cross-functional team.
• Manage multiple estimating assignments and deadlines.
