Judge Direct Placement is seeking an experienced Project Estimator in Houston, TX to develop accurate cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes, with emphasis on piping systems. You will takeoffs, price labor and materials, review drawings, and collaborate across disciplines to validate approaches and risks.

The role requires 10+ years of industrial estimating experience, strong civil/structural cost knowledge, and proficiency in Trimble Accubid and Excel.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, OR 10+ years of estimating experience.
• 10+ years of estimating experience in industrial construction with mechanical/piping focus.
• Proven experience estimating midstream and downstream Oil & Gas projects (terminals, plants, pipelines).
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost drivers.
• Advanced proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, civil drawings, and structural plans.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes with emphasis on piping and mechanical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents for accuracy.

• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure alignment with scope and standards.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Support bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoff meetings.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and productivity benchmarks.

The Project Estimator role will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive cost estimates (mechanical & civil) for EPC and design-build projects. This position requires a deep understanding of industrial construction methods, material takeoffs, labor productivity, and cost controls. This position will be involved in the engineering, design, procurement, construction and support services to the chemical, petrochemical, pipeline, oil & gas, bulk storage and terminal industries nationally.

Location: Houston, Texas

Compensation: $145,000 - $170,000 base salary + Bonus.
