Job summary

12 Oaks Management's Arlington facility is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and follow health and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have cooking experience for large groups, ability to lift 30–50 pounds, and a HS diploma or GED. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on timely meal service and accuracy in portions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of experience cooking for large groups preferred.
• Experience preparing special diets preferred (low sodium, etc.).
• Must demonstrate successful employment as a cook.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals as indicated on planned menus using standardized portions and substitutions.
• Ensures meals are served at scheduled times; plans and organizes food prep tasks.
• Completes all clean-up duties after each service.
• Follows cleaning schedules and sanitation checklists to maintain a clean area.
• Assists in accounting for meals for residents, staff, and guests.
